Ampro Increases Warranty on Rugged, Industrial Products

Extreme rugged PC/104, EBX, COM Express, ETX and RuffSystem products
maintain industry leading warranty

San Jose, Calif. – June 17, 2008 –Ampro Computers Inc., an ADLINK Company, today announced that along with providing an industry best three year warranty on its extreme rugged products, Ampro is extending its warranty on all rugged and industrial products effective June 2, 2008. The new two year warranty period covers all orders shipped after June 2 from any defects from material or workmanship and applies to the rugged EPIC ReadyBoard™ single board computer (SBC) and ReadySystem™ Fanless industrial computer, as well as the industrial Mini-ITX MightyBoard™, ReadyBoard, COM Express, ETX®, XTX, Mini-ITX based MightySystem™, EPIC based ReadySystem™ and ReadyPanel™ products from Ampro.

"Already well known for its extreme rugged products’ industry leading warranty program and long lifecycles, extending Ampro’s warranty on its rugged and industrial products allows us to better align ourselves with our parent company, ADLINK, product lines,” Ampro’s General Manager, PJ Go said. “By matching or in some cases exceeding warranties offered by other embedded computing companies, we are providing our customer’s with valuable protection for all products bought from Ampro.”  

Ampro’s extreme rugged products will maintain their industry leading three-year warranty. The extreme rugged products are able to withstand temperatures from -40° to +85°C, severe shock and vibration and HALT requirements which suits industries such as military/defense, avionics and transportation. Ampro’s extreme rugged product lines include the PC/104 CoreModule™ and EBX LittleBoard™ SBCs, COM Express and ETX computer-on-modules (COMs) and the RuffSystem™ embedded computer.

Ampro’s rugged product lines feature wide temperature ranges from -20° to +70°C, can withstand limited shock and vibration and are commonly found in industrial/automation, transportation, homeland security and test and measurement applications to name a few. The industrial products feature a temperature range of 0° to +60°C, PC-style connectors and are commonly used in applications such as medical equipment, point-of-information kiosks, digital signage, gaming and communication devices.
